When Skincare Does Highlighter

Algenist Concentrated Luminizing Drops

The love for highlighter does not seem to be dying down anytime soon and liquid versions have really saturated the market of late. Most brands have brought out their own versions and now skincare brand, Algenist has now joined in!

Their Reveal Concentrated Luminizing Drops launched a little while back and I have been drying 2 of the 3 shades recently. I have the Drop & Glow Duo* (£22) which are a smaller version at an adorable 7ml. The full size is 15ml (£30) which makes this duo a nice way to try out the drops whilst still getting a decent amount of product. Plus it’s a complete steal! I never, ever finish a liquid highlighter so a smaller size is welcomed.

The drops use 3 elements:

Highlight: Pink and gold pigments & ultra fine, luminous pearls to highlight targeted areas.

Correct: Algacorrecting Complex to colour correct & treat uneven skin tone.

Anti-Age:Patented Alguronic Acid visibly reduces the signs of aging

Key Benefits:

• Optical diffusers visibly smooth skin and blur the appearance of pores, fine lines and wrinkles

• Visibly corrects and treats uneven

• Visibly corrects and treats uneven skin tone with Algacorrecting Complex

• Creates subtle, radiant glow with ultra-fine luminous pearls

I love when products have a pipette dropper for dispensing. Does anyone else find them really fun? These Algenist drops provide the perfect amount of product which I really appreciate.

I have the shades Rose (a pearly pink) and Champagne (a pale gold) – both of which are absolutely gorgeous and tones I would definitely choose when it comes to luminizing products.

These apply very smoothly with zero blending issues. They aren’t too pigmented which means you have time to build up the product and most importantly – blend.

I prefer the Champagne shade as it’s neither too pale nor too yellow toned and I find it the most flattering on my skin tone. I feel the Rose shade would suit fairer skin and mine in the winter.

I love that many skincare brands are adding their own spin on makeup and I always find it really interesting. I’m enjoying these drops on days where I don’t want too much shine on my cheeks.

Which is your go-to highlighting product?

Love, K xo
