Getting Peachy with Kylie Cosmetics

If you read my blog a while back, you’ll know I tried the Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kits and enjoyed using them. I actually have a whole host of shades and not long after I branched out and tried some of her eyeshadow palettes. I currently have 4 of her palettes but today I bring you the Royal Peach Palette ().

To say I’ve gotten my usage out of this palette would be an overstatement as I have been wearing a peachy toned eye on/off for months now and this has become one of my most reached for palettes. There are a wide mix of shades, mainly in the warm, peachy family with a few unexpected colours thrown in.

The first palette I purchased from Kylie Cosmetics was The Burgundy Palette ($42) which I was beyond pleased with and I’ve created many looks using it. This prompted me to try more palettes and I am so glad I did.

Say what you want about the Jenners/Kardashians but they’re entrepreneurs and Kylie is certainly making waves in the cosmetic industry. I do like the family, but that aside – these are great palettes. If I thought they were disappointing, I would 100% say so.

The Royal Peach Palette ($45)  consists of 12 shades with a mix of matte, metallic and satin formulas. The shadows are well pigmented and super blendable which I love. I particularly enjoy the more matte shades because they’re more pigmented and buildable.

The only downside is that I wish the more metallic shades had a tiny bit more pigment instantly. When I’m in a rush, I tend to spritz my brush with some setting spray before applying them as this emphasises the pigment. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing as they’re advertised as medium, buildable coverage. I actually prefer my eyeshadows to be easier to work with, allowing the colour to be built rather than ending up with a stark pop of colour that’s a pain to blend.

I’m really impressed with this palette, the colours are so wearable and beautiful. I didn’t think I’d enjoy a peachy eye so much. If in doubt, peach it out!

The brush that is included is actually lovely – I use it regularly and it gives me MAC 217 vibes which is never a bad thing. It is well made, great for applying colour and blending as well as being really soft.

I am intrigued to see what Kylie releases next in her eyeshadow range. I’d love to see a really cool, taupe palette in the future.

Have you tried anything from Kylie Cosmetics?

Love, K xo
